Well maybe not quite so new.
As you can see from our newly elected Board, we represent a cross-section of the Community. Although we have just 50 members, the Board consists of 13 individuals. Chanukah
The Sisterhood sponsored the Jewish community Chanukah party at the Synagogue, Saturday evening on November 30th. Morton Cohen and his mother Lil, visiting from Toronto, joined us. Rabbi Goldman, joined by a few members to brave the cold, commenced the festivities with the lighting of the menorah outdoors under the stars. Continue reading Chanukah

For the second year, St. Thomas University, in conjunction with Fredericton’s Faith communities, held an open forum, April 4th, for its students and the public to join together in Celebration of Faith in Diversity. Rosh Chodesh
Rosh Chodesh Women’s Prayer service
Kislev 1st 5770 – November 18th 2009
History was made in Fredericton, NB on the first day of Kislev, 5770. On that Wednesday morning, we had a Torah service at the Sgoolai Israel Synagogue, which was led by the WOMEN of the congregation. Never before have we had this happen in our synagogue.
